There were 21 folks at the July meeting..
The main presentation for the evening was Don Nichols telling us about hardness testing.
Closeup of Don's electronic readout hardness tester.
Kevin Brady told us about seeing an original Wright brothers' airplane engine and described some of the details of its design. If and when I ever get my scanner going again, he supplied a good picture of it which should be posted below.
Rich Kuzmack told us about the fellow who is building a replica of the Wright brothers' airplane at a facility in our area.
John McCalla gave us a brief report on the Rockford planer that was going to be donated to the Tuckahoe museum.
Lastly, Dave Bluett showed up with some more "chickens" for sale, including the pyrometer he is shown holding here.
As is custom, a few hardy soles trooped over to IHOP for late night snacks after the meeting.
